| i feel like all of my friends need a break from each other...

| so it's been a while...
February blew. i had tons of tests and projects and essays, and on top of everything, i had a bunch of shit to do for the fraternity. but then spring break came, and it was awesome.
i literally didn't do anything. i spent almost the entire two weeks sitting on my couch watching movies or tv. i increased my dvd collection quite a bit as well. hells yeah
then last week was another shitty week. there was a bunch of sweet shit going on down at the house, but i couldn't go very often cause of essay and work and stuff.
fun story: i was awake from 8:30 wednesday morning until 2:30 friday morning (42 hours...) and then when i finally went to sleep, i slept for 15 hours. almost made up for it haha
yeah, i'm at my room mate's house right now for easter weekend. i'm basically just watching movies and catching up on sleep. it's going to be a good weekend.

| so, most of this school year has just been really fucked up. lots of weird and crazy shit has been going down, and i have had ridiculous mood swings and people have just been all random and i didn't know what to make of it. and even though the result isn't exactly what i would call "ideal", i can see the end of the tunnel. thank the lord.
also, The Matches new cd leaked today (over a month early). the band didn't get pissed off, and they didn't demand that people buy their cd, like you would think. their only request as payment: do a good deed and take a video of it and email it to them. and they said only to buy the cd if you really like it and really want to support them. i decided right then and there, regardless of whether or not i liked it, i am going to buy their cd. i think that what they are doing is so cool. i downloaded the cd and it's actually quite good. i suggest anyone out there who might be reading it to at least give it a listen. i was quite disappointed with their last cd, but reading shawn's thing has fully renewed my love for them. here's the link to the thing i've just been rambling about for a while now. give it a read and if you feel so inspired, download the cd and send in a video.

i definitely plan on it.

| i love when you randomly listen to a cd that you haven't heard in (literally) 1.5-2 years.
also, chipotle after chapter today is going to be awesome.
p.p.s. go see "There Will Be Blood" it's fucking amazing.

| two things:
1.) i joined a fraternity because i went to a few rush events and met some of the guys and they were all really cool and it seemed like it would be a fun addition to my life at valpo as well as being a good way to meet some new people and get involved on campus.
2.) i'm thinking about dropping my chem major and bio minor and getting rid of the whole pre-med thing and just sticking with history. your thoughts?
i wish i knew what i wanted to do with my life...
